Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Alabama site to support equipment and facilities. You will perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, assist with carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks, and read manuals to support repairs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years in a maintenance-related field with hydraulic systems. Benefits include comprehensive health/dental/vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance of pumps and motors
• Ability to read manuals to assist in repairs
• Always maintain a clean and pristine work area
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks to assist in all aspects of maintenance operations, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks on equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in maintenance related field
• 2+ years experience working with hydraulic systems

Preferred

• General knowledge of commercial/industrial maintenance
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet business deadlines
• Ability to follow user manuals as needed for repairs and proper maintenance
• 40-hour Hazwoper certification
• Ability to work in all climate conditions both indoors and outdoors
