Job summary

Dayton Superior Corporation (White Cap) is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair, calibrate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in the plant. You will perform preventive maintenance as required and help keep operations safe and productive.

The role requires English communication, basic math, ability to read safety procedures and blueprints, forklift certification, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
• Must possess valid, current forklift certification.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Moderate computer skills.

Responsibilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend and twist.

• Maximum unassisted lift - 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and requires hearing protection.

• Safety shoes and eye protection are also required.

• Temperature environment 0 degrees to 110 degrees.
