Job summary

Oakmont of Riverpark, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Maintenance Technician to manage building upkeep and resident units in a senior living community. Work includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, and upkeep of common areas to ensure comfort and safety for residents.

Candidates should have a basic maintenance background, a willingness to support residents and families, and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team dedicated to quality service.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of experience in building maintenance or related work.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and provide care.
• Effective written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Able to pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening including TB.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa where applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.

Pay Range: $18.00-$19.00

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers - painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
