Job summary

The Housing Authority for LaSalle County in Ottawa, IL is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This full-time position requires hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance across a variety of building systems in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will handle tasks from plumbing to painting, lift up to 100 lbs, and possess a valid driver’s license. Background check, drug screen, and driving history review are required. On-call after hours will be rotated.

Qualifications

• Experience with appliance repair, locks, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Knowledge of building exterior repair, drywall patching, carpentry, and painting preferred.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs and operate safely on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks across facilities.
• Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to after-hours on-call rotations as needed.

We have an opening for a hard-working person to join our team of Maintenance Technicians at The Housing Authority for LaSalle County.

We have a fast-paced and diverse environment.

The right candidate will possess skills in some or all of the following:

• Appliance Repair

• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Building Exterior Repair
• Drywall Patching
• Basic Carpentry
• Painting
• Cleaning

We are offering Full Time employment, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with excellent benefits.

On call after hours will be required on a rotational basis.

Applicants will be screened with a background check, drug screen, and driving history report.

A valid Drivers License and the ability to lift 100 lbs. is required for this position.
