Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities in Florida is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the care and quality of our residential communities. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of resident service requests to meet our standards of service.

Join a team that supports safety, reliability, and resident satisfaction through hands-on maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems with an on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs.
• Ensure the successful execution of all company safety policies and procedures.
• Deliver the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.

About The Role

The Maintenance Technician is integral to meeting this objective, with responsibility for maintaining the overall physical condition of the community and providing world‑class service to our valued residents. Our Maintenance Technicians diagnose maintenance issues, make necessary repairs, and ensure all resident service requests and other community maintenance is completed in a timely manner

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems. Including inspections and repairs.
• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
• Working a rotating on call schedule to have 24/7 maintenance coverage

Who We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience
• Basic trouble shooting skills
• Basic understanding on at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, carpentry
• Ability to make repairs to resident homes to Company standards within time limits.
• Ability to learn quickly
• Must have an active and valid driver’s license
