Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the community’s physical condition and for delivering world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure all service requests are completed promptly, maintaining safety and high standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of maintenance experience, and proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry issues.
• Must have an active and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general property upkeep.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure timely completion of resident requests and other community maintenance tasks.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call coverage to support residents and operations.

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is integral to meeting this objective, with responsibility for maintaining the overall physical condition of the community and providing world-class service to our valued residents. Our Maintenance Technicians diagnose maintenance issues, make necessary repairs, and ensure all resident service requests and other community maintenance is completed in a timely manner

What you'll be doing

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems. Including inspections and repairs.

• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
• Working a rotating on call schedule to have 24/7 maintenance coverage

Who we're looking for

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience
• Basic trouble shooting skills
• Basic understanding on at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, carpentry
• Ability to make repairs to resident homes to Company standards within time limits.
• Ability to learn quickly
• Must have an active and valid driver's license
