Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our residential community in top physical condition and to deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and promptly complete service requests to uphold our standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, while following safety policies and providing courteous, professional resident interactions. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Must have an active and valid driver’s license.

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through professional, positive interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 maintenance coverage.

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is integral to meeting this objective, with responsibility for maintaining the overall physical condition of the community and providing world‑class service to our valued residents. Our Maintenance Technicians diagnose maintenance issues, make necessary repairs, and ensure all resident service requests and other community maintenance is completed in a timely manner

What you'll be doing

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems. Including inspections and repairs.
• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
• Working a rotating on call schedule to have 24/7 maintenance coverage

Who we're looking for

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience
• Basic trouble shooting skills
• Basic understanding on at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, carpentry
• Ability to make repairs to resident homes to Company standards within time limits.
• Ability to learn quickly
• Must have an active and valid driver’s license
