Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning in Connecticut is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment under the Building Supervisor. You will assist with renovations, repair plaster and drywall, paint, and handle grounds maintenance and on-call duties.

Ideal candidates have basic computer skills, strong verbal and written communication, the ability to lift 50 lbs, empathy and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment under the Building Supervisor.
• Assist with renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; painting.
• Conduct grounds maintenance such as snow removal; respond to on-call responsibilities.
• Other maintenance tasks as required.

Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment under the direction of the Building Supervisor. Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; painting, performs grounds maintenance such as snow removal, sanding, on call responsibilities, and other maintenance tasks as required.

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required, with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Experience in the following preferred: maintenance, groundskeeping, painting, repairs, carpentry, electrical, etc.
