Job description

Job Overview

Responsible for maintaining buildings, equipment, and related facilities and systems. Perform work to ensure maximum production quantity and quality. Must possess knowledge of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair.

A Day In The Life
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance on all equipment and machinery within the plant, following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunctions. Communicate issues to operations staff. Ensure safety procedures are consistently followed (lock out, tag out, etc.).
  • Diagnose problems, dismantle defective machines, and install new or repaired parts, following blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings.
  • Perform building maintenance and lighting repairs (plumbing, changing lamps & ballasts, light remodeling, refrigeration systems, etc.).
  • Repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Follow safety regulations at all times.
  • Work until relieved by supervisor or manager, which may require longer hours.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic circuits, and machinery involving these systems.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and basic math skills (Algebra/Trigonometry).
  • Knowledge of PLC and servo controls.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Commitment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing procedures and priorities.
  • Strong logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
