Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation in Norwalk, OH. This hands-on role troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and improves equipment while collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills and are experienced with pneumatic/hydraulic systems, schematics, and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment.

• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and manuals.

• Military training or related technical training preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting and automation experience preferred.

• CMMS experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
• Electrical license or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and safely restore production operations.
• Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and modification of production equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
• Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
