We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation in Norwalk, OH.
In this hands-on position, you will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment and facility systems while working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
This opportunity is an excellent fit for experienced industrial maintenance professionals as well as military technicians transitioning from electrical, mechanical, aviation maintenance, power generation, engineering, automation, or equipment maintenance backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and safely restore production operations.
- Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and uptime.
- Support installation, startup, commissioning, and modification of production equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred:
- Military technical training or related technical/trade training.
- PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation experience.
- Experience with VFDs, servo motors, robotics, and control systems.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
- CMMS experience.
- Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Electrical license or related technical certification.
