Job summary

Husker Ag, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair, rebuild, weld, lubricate, and clean equipment used in ethanol production. The role supports plant operations and adheres to safety protocols while coordinating with the Maintenance Manager to keep equipment in good working order.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), experience in welding and electrical/mechanical maintenance, and a strong teamwork and problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in welding, mechanical maintenance, electrical work preferred.
• Knowledge of safe maintenance practices and equipment handling.
• Ability to read manuals and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Installs, rebuilds, welds, lubricates, removes, and cleans production equipment.
• Maintains accurate time and materials records for work orders.
• Assists with receiving/shipping and material sourcing.
• Coordinates with Production and Operations managers to complete tasks.
• Follows maintenance schedule and communicates issues to the Maintenance Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

Repairs, replaces, lubricates and/or cleans equipment used in production of ethanol.Supports the mission of Husker Ag.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (responsibilities or duties)

• Installs, re-builds, welds, lubricates, removes, and/or cleans all equipment used in production. Uses safe methods and is thorough in completing responsibilities.
• Maintains accurate recording/accounting of time and materials in relation to work orders and assigned tasks.
• Assists with receiving and shipping of materials and supplies. Researches needed materials and parts by utilizing manuals and catalogs.
• Works with production and operations managers and staff to accomplish tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Understands the use of equipment in the plant production and processes.
• Follows maintenance schedule to keep equipment operative and discuss any problems with Maintenance Manager.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

• Completes other tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.
• Assists where needed or requested.

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn use of welding, cutting, pump alignment, preventative maintenance, and instrument/electrical work.
