Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves production equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting to support continuous output.

The facility operates with spring winders, presses, roll formers, benders, and other metal-forming machinery. Candidates with experience maintaining this type of equipment or similar industrial machinery are encouraged to apply, with strong mechanical skills and safety

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with metal-forming equipment (spring winders, roll formers, presses or bending equipment) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience preferred (basic to intermediate).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals and equipment documentation.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment.
• Maintain and repair spring winding equipment, presses, roll formers, benders, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and related components.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose basic industrial electrical issues, including motors, switches, sensors, relays, and control systems.
• Perform machine adjustments, change components, and assist with equipment setups as needed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize production downtime.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend long-term corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used maintenance parts and supplies.
• Assist with installation, relocation, and modification of production equipment.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, cutting, drilling, and machining when necessary.
• Follow OSHA requirements, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
• Work closely with production supervisors and operators to identify equipment concerns before they result in major downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance work area.
