Job summary

Olsten is assisting a local Marshville, North Carolina facility in recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.

Candidate should have 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience, 2+ years facilities maintenance, and welding proficiency. You will read blueprints and manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and adhere to safety policies while supporting production teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC & DC motors and motor controls.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Welding experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical drives, conveyors, belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, motors, motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Inspect equipment daily and identify worn or damaged components before failures occur.
  • Maintain repair parts inventory and communicate anticipated maintenance needs.
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed while following all welding safety procedures.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, including building systems and general upkeep.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, including LOTO and OSHA standards.
  • Communicate equipment issues and repair status with production and management teams.

Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Marshville, North Carolina to find an experienced and eager maintenance technician to join their growing team!

The Maintenance Technician will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime through preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous equipment improvements while maintaining a safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Specialized training in industrial maintenance and welding preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
    • AC & DC motors and motor controls
    • Conveyors and drive systems
    • Preventative maintenance practices
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Thorough knowledge of welding procedures and safety practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour
