Job summary

Zinpro Corporation in North Branch, MN, seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain operations at the company’s manufacturing plant. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, minor repairs and system installations, with emphasis on safety and compliance with EHS and FDA requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of experience in plant operations or maintenance, and familiarity with CMMS. A post-secondary certification or an A.A.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’experience in plant operations and/or maintenance.
• Basic CMMS knowledge.
• Post-secondary education or certifications related to maintenance.
• Two-year college/technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair, and installation of automated plant production systems, physical plant systems and structures.
• Performs minor tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical/electronics within NEC rules.
• Documents preventive maintenance and uses CMMS to log work requests and completions.
• Assists supervisor in planning and installation of equipment using CMMS and communicates with staff.
• Requests tools and supplies for maintenance and reports repair needs to supervisor.
• Works safely, keeps a clean workstation, and performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $29 - $44 per hour

The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. The Maintenance Technician will be expected to perform all work duties and responsibilities to maintain the operations of the facilities in compliance with all mandated State and Federal EHS and FDA requirements and Zinpro company policy. Success in this position requires the ability to work with complex machinery and perform physically demanding work while ensuring the safety of self and others. This role is based in a Zinpro manufacturing plant.

• Performs maintenance, repair, and installation of automated plant production systems, physical plant systems and structures, and building and ventilation equipment.
• Performs minor and routine tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical/electronics (within NEC rules), and frequently works with electrical systems, pump systems, dry solid handling equipment, and basic facility operating systems (compressors, hot water heaters, HVAC, etc )
• Performs and documents preventive maintenance on all plant systems and uses the plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to contribute to the plant quality systems and document all work requests and work completed
• Assists Maintenance Supervisor in the project planning and installation of equipment/systems using the plant CMMS and communicates with production employees and management regarding maintenance issues
• Requests tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance and notifies the Maintenance Supervisor concerning need for repairs toplant equipment and facilities
• Performs maintenance activities in accordance with product safety, personal safety, and housekeeping requirements while maintaining a clean and organized workstation
• Performs other duties as assigned

This position will work primarily at their home manufacturing plant facility and may engage in occasional company-sponsored travel.

This is a second shift position working 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday through Friday. The maintenance technician is expected to work a 40-hour work week with occasional mandatory overtime. This position requires the employee to be on-call and contribute to the plant call-out structure as needed
