Job summary

Legend Senior Living in Norman, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for residents by keeping buildings, equipment, and grounds safe and attractive. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety checks to support a high-quality living environment.

The role requires experience in related trades such as electrical/HVAC and the ability to operate a vehicle for service tasks, with opportunities for on-call or weekend hours and a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a related trade or position, preferably with expertise in electrical, HVAC and repairs and/or maintenance.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle as part of service and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regularly walk the residence and grounds to check equipment, maintain appearance, and ensure safety.
• Complete and document work orders for building, grounds and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and report parts or supplies needed to the Maintenance Director.
• Assist with inventory, preventative maintenance, warranties, inspections and vendor oversight.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.

Job Highlights

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by ensuring the place they call home is a safe and attractive living environment. This position functions to maintain and repair the equipment, operating systems, structure and grounds of the residence.

Responsibilities

• Regularly walking throughout the residence and grounds to check equipment, maintain appearance, and ensure safety
• Completing and documenting work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Director, including maintenance and repairs for the building, grounds and equipment
• Following troubleshooting, reporting to the Maintenance Director any parts or supplies needed to complete repairs
• Assisting the Director with completion and documentation of inventory, preventative maintenance, warranties, inspections, and overseeing work performed by outside vendors
• Communicating effectively with residents and staff
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
