S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our North Shore community in Norfolk, VA. You will ensure residents live in a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment by maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and promptly completing repairs.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, drywall, tile, and electrical work, with an emphasis on reliable, on-call attendance. Competitive benefits are offered and the position is full-time, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Prior experience reflecting overall general mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).
• EPA Freon Recovery Certificate; HVAC Certificate.
• Current Fair Housing Certification.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

To ensure residents a safe, comfortable, and attractive place to live by always keeping all electrical and mechanical equipment and appliances functional or serviced immediately and making all needed repairs to structures promptly. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.
