S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community's electrical and mechanical systems functional and safe.

You will perform plumbing, tile work, drywall, electrical repairs, and assist with HVAC and general property upkeep, responding to resident requests promptly.

Requirements include English literacy, general mechanical aptitude, valid driver's license, EPA Freon recovery and HVAC certificates; experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• General mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability.
• HVAC and Freon recovery certification preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: To ensure residents a safe, comfortable, and attractive place to live by always keeping all electrical and mechanical equipment and appliances functional or serviced immediately and making all needed repairs to structures promptly. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
