Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe, comfortable, and attractive living environment for residents.

You will repair electrical fixtures, drywall, plumbing, tile, and related systems, with after‑hours on‑call as needed. The role requires valid certifications and a maintenance mindset supporting a multi‑unit community. Responsibilities include responding to service requests, performing routine repairs, and assisting HVAC tasks while upholding Fair Housing

Qualifications

• Able to read and write English.
• General mechanical aptitude with hands‑on skills.
• Experience in service management for multi‑unit properties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
• Installing and repairing drywall.
• Repairing electrical switches.
• Responding to residents' calls for service; completing plumbing repairs.
• Laying and repairing tile; additional carpentry tasks as needed.
• Assist with HVAC and refrigeration repairs; cut keys as required.
• Maintain safety practices and proper housekeeping in common areas.

To ensure residents a safe, comfortable, and attractive place to live by always keeping all electrical and mechanical equipment and appliances functional or serviced immediately and making all needed repairs to structures promptly. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.
