  • Availability for on-call duty, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks as directed by the Maintenance Director and Assistant Maintenance Director.
  • Conduct minor building repairs, including carpentry, drywall patching, and painting.
  • Execute minor electrical work.
  • Handle minor plumbing repairs, such as faucet and drain repairs.
  • Undertake minor mechanical repairs, including wheelchair and wheel-castered item maintenance, fan belt changes, and motor repairs.
  • Perform minor HVAC repairs and preventive maintenance, including filter changes.
  • Complete work orders promptly and accurately, documenting completion, time utilized, and materials used.
  • Maintain and update required F.D.N.Y. certificates as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
  • Be available for on-call duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Director and Assistant Maintenance Director, performing various tasks related to building maintenance and repairs. This position requires proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing repairs, mechanical repairs, and HVAC maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing work orders, documenting completion, and ensuring the facility's optimal functionality.
