Job summary

CSI Sands (N.E.) in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role focuses on repairing, maintaining, installing production equipment and performing preventive maintenance to ensure smooth plant operation.

Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will read blueprints, organize daily tasks, use MS Office tools, and contribute to reducing downtime through proactive improvements. Hours are flexible with weekends and nights as needed to meet business demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years solid experience as a Mechanical Technician.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to organize, plan daily tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Abide by and enforce safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Repair, maintain, install production equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine problems and make repairs as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on scales, equipment and conveyors – lubrication, adjustments, cleaning.
• Recommend improvements and modifications to production equipment.
• Maintain equipment repair history records.
• Determine causes of breakdowns and provide improvement recommendations to reduce downtime and costs.
• Perform general plant maintenance duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

CSI Sands (N.E.) operates state of the art processing facilities to produce industrial silica sand products in Brevort, MI, Buffalo, NY and Cleveland, OH.

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to complement our team in Buffalo, NY.

Reporting to the Buffalo Plant Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

• Abiding by and enforcing compliance with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Repairing, maintaining, installing production equipment.
• Troubleshooting machine problems and making necessary repairs.
• Performing preventive maintenance following standards and schedules on scales, equipment and conveyors. This includes lubrication, adjustments, and cleaning.
• Recommending improvements and modifications to production equipment and machines.
• Maintaining equipment repair history records.
• Determining the cause of breakdowns and providing improvement recommendations to reduce downtime and costs.
• Performing general plant maintenance duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:
