Job description

Help us keep our homes guest-ready, beautiful, and operating at a five-star standard across Nashville.

About Hallson Hospitality Co.

Hallson Hospitality Co. is a premier property management and real estate investment company based in Nashville, Tennessee. We specialize in beautifully designed short-term rental homes and elevated guest experiences.

At Hallson, we believe hospitality should be anything but ordinary. Our team is passionate about creating stays that feel seamless, thoughtful, and memorable from start to finish. Every detail matters, and that commitment to excellence is what sets us apart.

We are growing quickly and looking for people who take pride in high standards, strong teamwork, and doing things the right way.

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and solution-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in fixing things the right way, and can move through a variety of tasks with urgency and professionalism. If you like problem‑solving, working independently, and helping maintain beautiful homes to a high standard, this could be a great fit.

As one of our boots‑on‑the‑ground team members, you will travel to multiple Hallson properties throughout the day to complete repairs, troubleshoot issues, support preventative maintenance efforts, and help keep our homes in excellent condition for guests and owners alike.

This is not a desk job. It is an active, field‑based role for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and making a visible impact every day.

Why Hallson

Hallson is not your average hospitality company, and we are not looking for average team members.

We believe in unreasonable hospitality — the kind that turns a stay into a story and a guest into a lifelong fan. Our culture is built on accountability, communication, excellence, and integrity. We hold ourselves to a five-star standard and look for team members who want to be part of something that is growing, challenging, and rewarding.

If you take ownership of your work, communicate well, and care about doing quality work the first time, we would love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
  • Complete general maintenance and repair tasks across short‑term rental properties
  • Troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, furniture, fixtures, doors, locks, and general home systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce guest issues and extend the life of home assets
  • Identify and document repair needs, follow‑up work, and larger maintenance concerns
  • Respond to urgent operational and guest‑related maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Support property readiness by addressing items before guest arrivals when needed
  • Communicate clearly with operations, housekeeping, and leadership teams regarding maintenance status and next steps
  • Assist with special projects, home improvement items, and quality upgrades across the portfolio
  • Ensure tools, materials, and supplies are organized and properly maintained
  • Follow company safety standards and report any hazards or major repair needs promptly
  • Complete other duties assigned by the management team
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior experience in property maintenance, residential maintenance, hospitality maintenance, handyman work, or a similar field
  • Strong working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, appliance troubleshooting, and general repairs
  • Ability to diagnose problems, think critically, and execute solutions efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high‑quality work
  • Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Comfortable using company communication and task management apps
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to complete background checks and standard pre‑employment screening
Schedule Expectations
  • Full‑time position
  • Field‑based role with travel between multiple properties throughout the day
  • Weekend availability may be required based on business needs
  • Schedule may include holidays or high‑occupancy periods as needed
  • Flexibility is important in this role, as hospitality moves quickly and priorities can shift
  • Some urgent or same‑day maintenance requests may require a quick response
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to drive between multiple locations daily
  • Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to go up and down stairs regularly
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move tools, equipment, and supply items
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in tight or awkward spaces as needed
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or construction
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or appliances
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in hospitality or short‑term rental environments
Benefits

Compensation is $20-$25/hour based on experience and performance.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Medical Insurance

  • Clear growth path within hospitality operations
  • Supportive, team‑oriented work environment
