Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to keep production equipment running with zero downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will perform initial equipment installation, minor modifications, and maintain preventive maintenance programs on production machinery.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance, journeyman qualifications preferred, and the ability to read hydraulics and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industrial, mechanical maintenance experience.
• Journeyman machine repair, toolmaker, millwright or pipe fitter preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
• General machine rebuild skills (spindle rebuild, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic lines).
• Knowledge of CNC control systems is a plus; G-Code programming knowledge is a plus.
• Basic PC skills; knowledge of facility codes and practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain world class safety practices.
• Mechanical troubleshooting of production machining operations (broaching, turning, spline rolling, gauging, washing, milling, drilling, grinding).
• Assist with set-up and changeover of production equipment.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance.
• Participate in cross functional team meetings to perform problem solving.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned by management.

Scope of PositionTo maintain equipment to support production; perform initial equipment mechanical installation; make minor machine modifications; maintain a preventative maintenance program; and to keep accurate maintenance records while constantly striving in maintaining a goal of zero downtime. This position will also be responsible for performing facility maintenance.Minimum QualificationsFive (5) or more years industrial, mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in an automotive machining or manufacturing environment.Experience as a journeyman machine repair, toolmaker, millwright or pipe fitter is preferred.Ability to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and blueprintsGeneral machine rebuild skills required. (spindle rebuild, replace bearings, replace hydraulic/pneumatic lines etc.)Knowledge of tool room equipment operation such as Bridgeport, Engine Lathe, Surface Grinder etc.Ability to manufacture minor components in the tool room is preferred.Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or cellular manufacturing is preferred.Knowledge of CNC control systems is a plus.G-Code programming knowledge is a plus.General welding skill is a plus.Basic knowledge and ability to use a personal computer.Knowledge of industrial facility codes and practices.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain world class safety practices.Mechanical troubleshooting of production machining operations such as broaching, turning, spline rolling, gauging, washing, milling, drilling, grinding and other general machining operations.Assist with set-up and changeover of production equipment as necessary.Mechanical troubleshooting of automated material handling, conveyance devices and roboticsMinimal supervision required to make machine modifications after initial assignment and explanation of work required.Perform predictive and preventative maintenance.- Participate in cross functional team meetings to perform problem solving activities.Perform other essential duties as assigned by management.
