Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Purina Animal Nutrition manufacturing team in Florida.

The role focuses on maintaining facility and production equipment to support high-quality outputs, with installation, repair, and preventive maintenance responsibilities across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The position operates on the 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekend/overtime/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all safety processes and safety practices.
• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly.
• Monitors plant machinery performance; performs regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; documents work accordingly.
• Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed.
• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Pay: $33.80 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour Shift & Working Hours: 3rd Shift; 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM; Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed. In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing maintenance of the facility and production equipment to ensure our plants can add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You’ll be responsible for the installation, ongoing maintenance, and necessary repairs for the facility and the production equipment. You will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Join our team to become part of a member-owned co-op that is Rooted In Tomorrow. Required Experience and Skills

• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Experience

• 1 to 3+ years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
• LOTO experience
• Forklift experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
