Job summary

Moses Lake Industries, Inc. (MLI) is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to support our MOSES LAKE facility in Washington. This full-time onsite role runs Monday–Friday, 6am–4:30pm, with overtime as needed.

You will coordinate with production to prioritize preventive maintenance, service HVAC, pumps, RO/UPW systems, cooling towers, and general plant upkeep. The job requires a High School diploma and basic computer skills; strong attention to detail and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Work as a team and/or independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Daily communication with production to prioritize maintenance work.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC, pumps, RO/UPW, and cooling systems.
  • General plant maintenance including exterior and grounds upkeep.
  • Provide technical support and maintain records of repairs and calibrations.
  • Review work orders, estimate materials, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Shift/Hours/Location: Monday- Friday, 6am-4:30pm, onsite Moses Lake, WA (variation & OT as necessary)

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
  • Daily communication with production team to prioritize maintenance work.
  • Working knowledge in the following trades: Basic HVAC Equipment, process pumps (mag drive and diaphragm pumps), overhead door maintenance, RO/UPW systems, and cooling towers.
  • Perform general duties around the plant including but not limited to, exterior building maintenance, grounds cleanup and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and resources as necessary to every department in the plant regarding machinery, equipment, and any other facility issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance activities as listed, preventive maintenance, work order system, critical parts inventory, field equipment inventory, maintenance skill development, predictive maintenance.
  • Write procedures and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, tests, etc.
  • Review and prioritize work orders daily, for repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment; estimate material requirements and repair and/or replace defective parts as needed; analyze/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other operations problems and take corrective action; report all unsafe equipment, machinery, and practices to the Maintenance Supervisor/Department Manager.
  • Maintain inventory, and quality of tools, parts, repair supplies and other materials; obtain quotes for replacement parts and materials and prepare requisitions as needed; fabricate parts not commercially available using hand and machine tools; maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Work toward Operational Excellence through 5S Methodology (Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the Cycle).
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
  • Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.
  • Work as a team and/or independently.
  • Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
  • ISO 9001: 1 year (Preferred)

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $25.00 to $35.00/hour

Working Conditions

Duties are generally performed indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, in a 24-hour per day, seven days per week manufacturing environment. Handling and working with hazardous materials and chemical manufacturing equipment is routine. The employee may work in the presence of fumes or airborne particles, hot, toxic, or corrosive chemicals, water, liquids, and electrical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. When working in the presence of these hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protection such as: hardhat, respirator, hearing protection, protective clothing, safety glasses, safety footwear, etc. MLI is an alcohol and drug free workplace. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gases that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc.
