Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Flooring Products team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, industrial electrical maintenance experience, and welding/fabrication skills. Strong problem-solving and communication abilities are essential, and forklift certification

• Level 3 Electrotechnical Services qualification or equivalent technical training.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

• Install and repair motors, relays, sensors, wiring, and other industrial electrical components.
• Perform welding and fabrication work to support equipment repairs and improvements.

• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Technician?

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Install and repair motors, relays, sensors, wiring, and other industrial electrical components.
• Perform welding and fabrication work to support equipment repairs and improvements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Industrial electrical maintenance experience.

Things we consider a plus

• Multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, machining, or pipe fitting.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
