RealTruck is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep our high-performance equipment running at peak efficiency. You’ll apply advanced mechanical, electrical/PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machining skills in a collaborative team environment with strong problem-solving culture.

The role requires adapting to diverse duties, including machine rebuilding, tooling, and training operators, while supporting safety and quality across facilities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines.
• Completion of related technical training program, certificate, degree, or journeyman apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex machines, including electrical/PLC, mechanical, welding, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, and conveyors.
• Learn to operate and keep custom machines running at peak efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve maintenance issues and improve equipment reliability.
• Use maintenance ticket system, create work orders, upload documentation and update parts as needed.
• Assist with inventory, cataloging parts inventory, and ordering replacement parts.
• Rebuild machines, tools and heavy equipment and create special tools for production.
• Work on machine programming as needed and train new Machine Operators.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.

Day Shift 6:30 AM–5:15 PM, Monday–Thursday-Friday as needed

Night Shift 5:00 PM- 3:45 AM, Monday- Thursday- Friday as needed

Position Summary

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician ready to take on more complex challenges and keep high-performance equipment running at its best? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining our facilities and troubleshooting a variety of tools, machines, and systems. In this role, you’ll put your advanced mechanical, electrical/PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machining skills to work—ensuring our custom equipment operates at peak efficiency. CORE FUNCTIONS

• Utilize advanced knowledge as required in diagnosing and repairing our more complex machines. This may include electrical/PLC, mechanical, welding, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Learn to operate and keep custom machines running at peak efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime through data-driven analysis.
• Utilize the maintenance ticket system, create work orders, uploading documentation, and updating parts as needed
• Assist with inventory, cataloging parts inventory, and ordering replacement parts and shop supplies.
• Rebuild machines, tools and heavy equipment & create special tools to assist with production (SH edit).
• Work on machine programing as needed and help train and teach new Machine Operators how to operate machines as needed
• Trouble shoot machine issues
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to reduce downtime potential on machines and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous forklift experience required; 2-3 years of experience preferred.
• 3 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines required.

Required Licenses

• Completion of related technical training program, certificate, degree, or journeyman apprenticeship preferred.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This position is subject to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

• The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach, performing mechanical or skilled trades’ tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.

Working Conditions

• The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
