Job summary

HM.CLAUSE, a Limagrain business unit, seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Modesto-area production facility. You will service, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, manage your maintenance tasks, and uphold safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities include installing new equipment, diagnosing complex failures, coordinating with contractors, and using HIPPO CMMS for work orders. A strong background in electrical/mechanical systems and welding is required.

Qualifications

Requires GED or High School Diploma or equivalent.
2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge of vibratory screeners setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Proficiency in forklift and boom lift operation, with potential certification.
Skills in TIG/MIG/Stick welding and oxy/acetylene cutting/brazing, including plasma cutting.
Experience with 480/230 three-phase and low voltage AC/DC installation and troubleshooting.
Competence in basic machining (drill press, bandsaw, mill, lathe).
Basic sheet metal fabrication using shears, brakes, rolls.

Responsibilities

Perform routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, controls, electrical).
Plan and manage own work to meet productivity goals and maintenance schedules.
Adhere to safety procedures; attend safety meetings and suggest improvements.
Install new machinery, including assembly, placement, anchoring, and wiring.
Troubleshoot breakdowns of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, and controls systems.
Coordinate with contractors to ensure work per specifications.
Read layout plans, blueprints, manuals, sketches, or verbal instructions.
Complete work orders using HIPPO CMMS and request spare parts via email.
Familiarity with proper chemical and hazardous waste handling procedures and SDS.
Knowledge of local codes, safety regulations, confined space entry, LOTO, fall protection, elevated work, cooling systems, chillers, and boilers.

Job Description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:

Performs routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, controls, and electrical systems for dust collection, milling, packaging, and treating equipment.
Plans and manages own work efficiently to meet productivity goals, project timelines, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Ensures adherence to safety procedures and practices, attending safety meetings and suggesting improvements. Knowledge of NFPA 79 is a plus.
Installs new machinery, including assembly, placement, anchoring, and electrical and control wiring.
Troubleshoots and resolves breakdowns of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, and controls systems.
Coordinates with contractors to ensure work is completed as per specifications.
Works from layout plans, blueprints, manuals, sketches, or verbal instructions.
Completes work orders using HIPPO CMMS and requests spare parts or materials through company email.
Familiarity with proper chemical and hazardous waste handling procedures and SDS documents.
Knowledge of local codes, safety regulations, confined space entry, LOTO, fall protection, elevated work, cooling systems, chillers, and boilers.

What We Expect Of You

To be considered, you will need:

GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.

2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge of vibratory screeners setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.

Proficiency in forklift and boom lift operation, with the potential for certification.

Skills in TIG/MIG/Stick welding and oxy/acetylene cutting/brazing, including plasma cutting.

Experience with 480/230 three-phase and low voltage AC and DC installation and troubleshooting.

Competence in basic machining using drill press, band saws, mill, and lathe.

Capability in basic sheet metal fabrication using shears, brakes, and rolls.

Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, indicators, bore gauges, and tapes.

Basic millwright, rigging, and layout skills.

Proficiency basic math and English language (reading, writing, speaking)

Competitive salary

This position’s range is:

1-5 years of experience: $25 - $30/hr

6-10 years of experience: $27 - $33/hr

Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures. As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.
