Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Production Operator for our Middletown, DE plant. The role runs a 2AM–12PM shift (potentially 4AM–2PM) and involves mixing and pouring concrete, operating mixers and conveyors, and forming production layouts.

You will join a team committed to safety, quality, and timely delivery on major infrastructure projects. Prior manufacturing experience and forklift/overhead crane familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiar with hand tools and power tools.
• Able to work outdoors/open-air environment.
• Preferred: experience in manufacturing.
• Preferred: forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Must lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently; if heavier, use forklift/crane; push/pull 80 pounds; climb stairs/ladders; step up 20 inches.

• Adhering to quality control standards for high-quality concrete products.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by management.

Job description

We are looking for a PRODUCTION OPERATOR to join our MIDDLETOWN, DE plant working a 2AM - 12PM shift (potentially a 4AM - 2PM) As a general laborer with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Operating machinery and equipment, such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area

About You

We Require:

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches.
