Job summary

English Rose Suites is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining the exterior and interior of our six residential assisted living homes located in Edina and Hopkins, MN.

Shift: 32-40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Wage range: $22–$26 per hour (DOE). Responsibilities include minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, floor care, and routine preventive maintenance across the properties.

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and climbing ladders.
• Willing to learn and adapt to maintenance tasks across multiple homes.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, interior painting and electrical tasks.
• Floor care including deep cleaning and carpet shampooing.
• Run errands between homes in company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance on appliances, fire and security systems.

Job description

English Rose Suites is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining both the exterior and interior of our six beautiful residential assisted living homes located in Edina and Hopkins Minnesota.

Shift: 32-40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Wage Range: $22 - $26 per hour (DOE)

Support you will provide will vary day to day but consists of:

• Completing Minor plumbing repairs such as replacing a faucet, minor carpentry work such as sanding
• Interior painting
• Minor electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures
• Floor care, including deep cleaning hardwood floors, tile and shampooing carpet
• Perform various minor home repairs (replace knobs, light fixtures, level a door, etc.)
• Routine checks on appliances, security and fire systems
• Routine preventive maintenance tasks such as testing fire alarm and security systems, HVAC system
• Run errands to, from and between homes in company provided vehicle
• Support with landscaping needs
• Other minor routine maintenance and cleaning tasks as directed by Maintenance Superintendent.

Criteria For Success

• Strong work ethic
• Work with minimal supervision and willing to learn new skills
• Ability to climb ladders, bend at waist, kneel, crouch and lift or push 75 pounds
• Current MN driver's license and clean driving record
• Capability to learn to operate company vehicle and snowplow
• Professional and positive attitude as you'll be interacting with our Residents and families
• Dependable and excellent time management skills and attendance record, punctual.
