Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for University Village in Minneapolis, MN. The position handles maintenance of mechanical equipment, emergency systems, fixtures and grounds, while processing work orders and supporting custodial duties.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with a 40-hour workweek and an on-call rotation. Minimum two years in maintenance (preferably residential property management) and skills across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances,

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management.
• Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
• Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
• Report any problems/deficiencies.
• Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues.
• Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
• Maintain the grounds; trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
• Test the resident security systems as required.
• Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
• Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
