Job summary

AHL HealthCare Group in Fridley, MN is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to service group homes across the Duluth area. You will complete routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of fixtures, doors, windows, and flooring while ensuring safety and quality.

This full-time role requires knowledge of plumbing, heating, electrical systems, and the ability to plan projects with strong problem-solving and teamwork. On-call emergencies and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday.
• Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.
• Pass MN DHS background study and MVR check.
• Ability to plan projects and manage maintenance requests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner.
• Perform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all household appliances.
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems; purchase and deliver water softener salt monthly to metro properties.
• Replace interior and exterior doors and windows.
• Repair flooring from carpet to tile and flooring types including wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone and tile.
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed; repair decks, stairs, fences.
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join AHL Healthcare Group as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for servicing AHL group homes in Duluth. You will be conducting repairs, installing appliances and flooring, painting, waste disposal, performing scheduled maintenance tasks, and assisting with major projects within the organization as required. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and renovation tasks is essential.

Location:

• Fridley, MN and surrounding areas

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday
• 8am to 4:30pm with half hour lunch break
• Some on-call for emergencies

Compensation

• $26.00-$28.00 an hour depending on experience

Job Duties

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner
• Perform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all house hold appliances
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems to include purchasing and delivering water softener salt monthly to all metro properties
• Replace both interior and exterior doors and windows
• Repair flooring from stretching carpet to full replacement and repair to include wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone and tile and carpeting
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed
• Repair, replace and build outdoor decks, stairs, and fences
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Pass a MN DHS background study
• Pass a MVR check
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
• Managing and reviewing the maintenance requests the planning and prioritizing work
• Documentation of property safety concerns and inspections
• Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation
• Available afterhours for emergencies
• Knowledge to plan projects and be strong at decision-making
• Proficiency to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
