Job summary

AHL Healthcare Group is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to service group homes in Duluth and surrounding areas. You will perform repairs, install appliances and flooring, paint, and handle scheduled maintenance across all properties.

Location: Fridley, MN and surrounding areas. Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with a half-hour lunch; some on-call for emergencies. Compensation: $26.00–$28.00/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• MN DHS background study required
• MVR check required
• 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks and safety screenings
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner.
• Repair, install light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures, and household appliances.
• Diagnose and repair building systems (heat, electricity, water); purchase and deliver water softener salt.
• Replace interior and exterior doors and windows; repair flooring (carpet, wood, vinyl, linoleum, tile).
• Maintain property exteriors; build/repair decks, stairs, fences; handle on-call emergencies.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join AHL Healthcare Group as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for servicing AHL group homes in Duluth. You will be conducting repairs, installing appliances and flooring, painting, waste disposal, performing scheduled maintenance tasks, and assisting with major projects within the organization as required. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and renovation tasks is essential.

Location:

• Fridley, MN and surrounding areas

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday
• 8am to 4:30pm with half hour lunch break
• Some on-call for emergencies

Compensation:

• $26.00-$28.00 an hour depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner
• Perform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all house hold appliances
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems to include purchasing and delivering water softener salt monthly to all metro properties
• Replace both interior and exterior doors and windows
• Repair flooring from stretching carpet to full replacement and repair to include wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone and tile and carpeting
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed
• Repair, replace and build outdoor decks, stairs, and fences
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues

Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• Pass a MN DHS background study
• Pass a MVR check
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
• Managing and reviewing the maintenance requests the planning and prioritizing work
• Documentation of property safety concerns and inspections
• Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation
• Available afterhours for emergencies
• Knowledge to plan projects and be strong at decision-making
• Proficiency to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
