Job summary

Moog in Mineral Wells, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC and electrical equipment. The role requires hands-on tasks from plumbing to welding and a strong focus on safety and RCCA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of facilities and/or maintenance management experience in manufacturing.
• Preferred HVAC, plumbing or related trade certifications.
• Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) training or certification is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and RCCA capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing, painting, building maintenance, welding and fabrication.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reporting To: Supervisor, Facility

Work Schedule: Onsite – Mineral Wells, TX

Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to collaborate on all aspects of building and hangar requirements in support of EHS policies, practices, and procedures. You’ll perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical systems, and basic industrial machinery. You will report to the Facility Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX.

To be considered for the Maintenance Technician, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Minimum of 5 years of facilities and/or maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade certification(s) in a skilled trade such as HVAC, plumbing, or a related field.
• Certified Electrical credential.
• Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) training or certification.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Perform basic plumbing, painting, building maintenance, and repair activities, as well as welding, cutting, and equipment fabrication.
• Diagnose and affect the repair of air conditioning / heating equipment.
• Interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Safely work at heights over 10 feet using ladders and personnel lifts.
• Operate a forklift to assist with the unloading of equipment and supplies.
• Perform basic electrical installation or repairs.
• Operate power tools.
• Perform monthly and weekly inspections of facility safety equipment.
• Work with hazardous chemicals.
• Serve as a first responder for hazardous chemical spills.
