Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, WI for 1st shift, 7:00am-3:30pm. This is an associate-to-hire opportunity with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance and quick response to equipment issues.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and hands-on skills with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Proficiency with hand and power tools and reading schematics is required.

Qualifications

Position Title: Maintenance Technician Wage: $26-$30/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly
• Respond to maintenance requests, emergencies, and equipment failures
• Track maintenance activity and keep accurate records of repairs and inspections
• Assist in facility improvement projects and procurement of materials

Maintenance Technician Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or vocational training is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or facility setting
• Familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
• Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, climb, or work at heights or up to 20 feet
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed
