As a Maintenance Technician I, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of one of our Milwaukee-area communities, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and proud of where they live.

What You'll Do
Maintenance & Grounds:
- Mow lawns, pull weeds, and maintain curb appeal
- Shovel snow, operate snow blowers, and salt walkways and entry areas
- Replace or repair appliances, window screens, and patio door screens
- Handle light drywall patching, caulking, and touch-up painting
- Replace shower heads, clean drain traps, and service garbage disposals
- Replace smoke detector and thermostat batteries, and reset control panels
- Diagnose basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues (within scope)
Tech & Communication:
- Use AppFolio, SmartSheet, and Egnyte to manage work orders and scheduling
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist with vendor coordination
- Keep maintenance logs and dashboards updated for team communication
Training & Office Participation
- Attend quarterly all-company meetings and weekly Maintenance L10 meetings
- Complete Grace Hill online training curriculum and continuing education
- Learn property protocols, documentation, and team processes
- Contribute ideas to improve service and team pride metrics
Requirements
0-2 years of experience in maintenance or related field
OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to use technology platforms for work orders and communication
Solid problem-solving and communication skills
A team player who's ready to learn, grow, and step up when needed
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work on-call when scheduled
