Sinceri Senior Living in Midlothian, VA is hiring a Maintenance professional to join a caring team. You will keep the facility safe, attractive and well maintained for residents and staff, with emphasis on reliability and timely response to requests.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance within assisted living or healthcare, with strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to the elderly. We offer competitive pay and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in assisted living or healthcare.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Compassion for elderly residents and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance to keep areas safe and clean.
• Assist the Executive Director with fire and life safety drills.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff in a timely manner.
• Ensure 24-hour response for daily maintenance needs.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas, including grounds, to standards.

Purpose:

Assists the Maintenance Department to ensure that the facility is safe, attractive and well maintained.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Relevant work experience (2 plus years preferred).
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and general public.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must have basic reporting and organizational skills.
• Must be capable of maintaining proper attendance.

Essential Functions:

• Care for the routine maintenance needs of the facility and its residents as if they were your own home and family.
• Assist the Executive Director with fire and life safety training and drills.
• Respond to resident/Executive Director/staff requests for maintenance through maintenance reports and log system.
• Ensure 24-hour repair/response time for all daily maintenance requests.
• Facility must be mechanically sound, safe, and well maintained.Interiors must be neat, paint and wall coverings clean, sound and chip/scratch free.Maintenance Director will have a keen sense of detail with regard to these items.Patching, painting and repair will be a major part of the maintenance program as well as carpet/floor care and maintenance.
• Grounds, building exterior and interior, signage are maintained year-round.Beds and lawns will be weeded and trimmed.Season foliage is also part of exterior maintenance plan.
