Job summary

Accelera in Mentor, OH is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support heavy equipment reliability in a fast-paced plant. You will diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in robotics, conveyors, pumps, sensors, PLCs, and VFDs.

Responsibilities include performing routine CMMS-driven preventive maintenance, calibrations, changeovers, and keeping precise maintenance records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; trade/technical certificate valued.
  • At least three years of industrial maintenance experience in chemical/beverage/food sectors.
  • Robust mechanical and electrical proficiency; able to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with robotic systems, conveyors, pumps, sensors, PLCs, and VFDs.
  • Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Ability to multitask and work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills to resolve complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and fix malfunctions across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform routine machinery checks to detect wear or failures and minimize interruptions.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and changeover equipment to meet production targets.
  • Keep precise records of work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to boost machinery reliability and output.
  • Support setup and integration of newly acquired systems and hardware.
  • Maintain a safe work environment following LOTO and internal safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause investigations to reduce downtime.

Job description

  • A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, while a trade or technical school certificate is highly valued.
  • Candidates should possess at least three years of industrial maintenance background, ideally within the chemical, beverage, or food production sectors.
  • Demonstrate robust mechanical and electrical proficiency, including the capacity to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Hands-on familiarity with robotic systems, conveyors, pumps, sensors, PLCs, and VFDs is essential.
  • Help ensure operational longevity by utilizing CMMS software and following established preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Show the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously and work autonomously in a high-speed setting.
  • Utilize strong communication and analytical skills to resolve complex technical challenges.

Core Duties

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve malfunctions across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform routine machinery checks to detect signs of degradation or impending failure, helping to minimize production interruptions.
  • Execute equipment calibrations, adjustments, and changeovers to ensure production targets are met.
  • Keep precise records of work orders and maintenance activities within the CMMS platform.
  • Work alongside engineering and production staff to boost the overall reliability and output of machinery.
  • Support the setup and integration of newly acquired systems and hardware.
  • Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following LOTO protocols and internal safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and root cause investigations to drive down downtime and improve operational efficiency.

Available shifts include Monday through Friday from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Tuesday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM plus Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM combined with Monday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
