Job summary

Mahoney Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Mendota, Illinois. This full-time role requires 3-4 years of industrial maintenance experience, the ability to read blueprints, and competence with power tools, welding, and electrical diagnostics.

Wages start at $24.50 to $27 per hour, with benefits including health coverage and a 401K. The plant operates 24/7 so some nights or weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Align, fit, and assemble parts using power tools and hand tools.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and technical orders for equipment assembly.
• Stick and MIG weld in all positions.
• Diagnose, repair, and analyze electrical components and circuits of various voltages.
• Read diagrams and blueprints and follow safety procedures.

We are looking for a Maintenance technician to join the team.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position working first shift, Monday through Friday. However, the plant operates 24 hours a day and there may be times, due to business need where you may need to work nights or weekends.

Starting Hourly Rate:

$24.50-$27

Job Duties:

• Align, fit, and assemble parts using power tools and hand tools.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and technical orders for equipment assembly.
• Stick and MIG weld in all positions.
• Diagnose, repair, and analyze electrical components and circuits of various voltages.
• Ability to read and followdiagrams and blueprints.
• Experience with pipefitting.
• Diagnose pump or motor issues. Repair or replace necessary components.
• Repair equipment that is not operating properly including Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Steam, and Electrical systems.
• Follow all safety trainings, policies and procedures and have a safety-first mindset.
• Climb ladders to reach

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of industrial maintenanceexperience required.
• Analytical thought process.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 100lbs.
• High school diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Valid US Drivers license.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, kneel, climb ladders and squat for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet, in confined spaces, and in adverse temperatures and weather conditions.

Working conditions:

• Exposure to used cooking oil odors.
• Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Handling grease coated equipment.
