Job summary

The Cannon Center seeks a Maintenance Technician to handle building upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance. You will monitor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems, perform inspections, and assist with operational needs across the facility.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in commercial or residential maintenance, hands-on skills with boilers/pumps/chillers, and familiarity with CMMS tools like MaintainX, eMaint, or FieldPulse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of heating, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, welding, door hardware, painting, carpentry, and landscape maintenance.
• Experience with boilers, pumps, and chillers is highly valued.
• Familiarity with CMMS software such as MaintainX, eMaint, and FieldPulse preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and word processing.
• OSHA 10, EPA, Construction Safety II, or plumbing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time and maintain a consistent workflow.
• Monitor and inspect building systems using established procedures.
• Support preventive maintenance and service requests throughout the facility.
• Communicate inventory needs for tools, parts, and supplies to management.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent facility issues promptly.
• Perform inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns to the Operations Manager.
• Follow MMG policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
