Shift: Fulltime rotating 12-hour night shift (6pm-6:30am). Work three days one week, four days the next week. Off every other weekend.
Starting Rate: $32.50 per hour.
Description: Maintenance Technicians play an important role at Dairy Farmers of America in ensuring that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and/or repairs to production and processing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance of production and processing equipment as well as utility-related equipment, following all safety procedures.
- Support the installation of new equipment.
- Set up and adjust controllers (primarily Allen-Bradley).
- Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all repairs are documented.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all DFA GMP's. Clean work areas upon completing a project and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications
Education and experience: High school diploma/GED or Technical School. Minimum of 3 years skilled industrial maintenance experience. Strong electrical background. Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment is a plus.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Basic math skills.
- Familiar with and have working knowledge of equipment.
- Ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in preventative maintenance, overhauls, modification, and fabrication. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess training/experience in at least two or more of the following areas:
- PLC's and PLC programming
- Single and three-phase industrial electricity and control systems
- AC/DC drive Systems
- Pneumatics/hydraulics systems
- Welding practices and techniques
- Machining/fabricating practices and techniques
- Industrial boiler operations
- Water Treatment Systems
- HVAC Systems
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
