Dairy Farmers of America is looking for a highly dependable team player to join our staff as MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility. Shift: Fulltime rotating 12-hour night shift (6pm-6:30am). Work three days one week, four days the next week. Off every other weekend.

Starting Rate: $32.50 per hour.

Description: Maintenance Technicians play an important role at Dairy Farmers of America in ensuring that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and/or repairs to production and processing equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance of production and processing equipment as well as utility-related equipment, following all safety procedures.
Support the installation of new equipment.
Set up and adjust controllers (primarily Allen-Bradley).
Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure all repairs are documented.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Follow all DFA GMP's. Clean work areas upon completing a project and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

Education and experience: High school diploma/GED or Technical School. Minimum of 3 years skilled industrial maintenance experience. Strong electrical background. Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment is a plus.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Basic math skills.
Familiar with and have working knowledge of equipment.
Ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics.
Proficient in preventative maintenance, overhauls, modification, and fabrication. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
