Job summary

Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Mebane, NC area on 3rd shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance across plant and office spaces.

You will handle electrical circuits (3-phase, single-phase, DC), plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and equipment installations while supporting safety and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience performing electrical repairs and installations.
• Proficient in plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.
• Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read engineered drawings and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Electrical repairs and installation: diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions and relocate equipment.
• Plumbing: install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Carpentry: repair and maintain buildings, floors, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Preventive maintenance: perform routine checks and address issues on assigned equipment.
• Attend daily meetings with supervisor to prioritize work orders and projects.
• Respond to unplanned maintenance requests from plant and office staff.
• Maintain knowledge of plant operations to ensure effective maintenance.
• Follow safety guidelines and EMS procedures.
• Manage maintenance tasks and track asset performance using CMMS.
• AC repairs: perform minor air conditioning repairs when needed.
• Fabrication: adjust designs to fit plant needs; construct storage/work areas.
• Cooperate with Engineers on construction and supplier coordination.
• Attend training to stay updated on repair techniques.

Job description

Direct Hire: Maintenance Technician Location: Mebane, NC Shift: 3rd Shift As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests and performing repairs across both the plant and office areas. Your expertise will cover troubleshooting and repairing 3-phase, single-phase, and DC electrical circuits, general carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, as well as equipment and electrical installations. Additionally, you will play an essential role in performing preventative maintenance and supporting the overall facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Repairs & Installation: Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, including the installation and relocation of equipment.
• Plumbing: Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures within heating, water, air, and sewer systems.
• Carpentry: Perform alterations, repairs, and maintenance on buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding, wood fixtures, and furniture.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and inspections of assigned equipment, take necessary action to make repairs, and provide updates to your supervisor on the status of work orders and projects.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in daily meetings with your supervisor to prioritize and plan upcoming work orders and projects.
• Unplanned Maintenance: Respond to unplanned maintenance requests from plant and office employees as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Maintain knowledge of plant operations and machinery to ensure effective maintenance.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental management system (EMS) procedures set.
• CMMS Software Management: Manage maintenance tasks and track asset performance using CMMS software.
• Additional Responsibilities: AC Repairs: Perform minor repairs on air conditioning systems when necessary.
• Fabrication & Adjustments: Suggest and implement adjustments to Engineer drawings, altering designs to better suit plant needs.
• Construction: Build storage or work areas based on designs provided by Engineers.
• Supplier Coordination: Occasionally drive to suppliers for equipment and materials required for maintenance tasks.
• Ongoing Learning: Attend training sessions to stay updated on repair techniques and best practices for plant maintenance. #DHIR26
