Job summary

Brookfield Properties in McLean, Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our residential communities safe and comfortable. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and related repairs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 1–2 years in property maintenance, a High School diploma or GED, and strong teamwork with clear communication. Weekend availability may be needed; on-site work with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• High School Diploma or GED; higher education not required.
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Must communicate clearly in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC repairs, maintenance, cleaning and part replacement.
• Handle plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, toilets, faucets).
• Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks.
• Paint and drywall/plaster repairs; general maintenance tasks.
• Electrical/appliance work: lighting, circuits, switches; machinery upkeep.
