Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for The Merc at 1800 Main Street in Dallas. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tasks, ensuring safety and resident satisfaction.

Team collaboration and proactive problem-solving are essential in a fast-paced residential setting. Qualifications include 1–2 years in commercial or multi-unit properties, a high school diploma or GED, and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of commercial property or multi-unit residential property experience.
• 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications are preferred.
• Driver's license may be required depending on property needs.
• Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• HVAC repairs, maintenance, and replacements.
• Plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.).
• Carpentry tasks: doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
• Painting: drywall/plaster repairs and painting.
• Electrical: lighting, wiring, switches, and related tasks.
• Maintain machinery and equipment within the property.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resident support.
• May require weekend work (Sat/Sun) as needed.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities.
