Job summary

nVent is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Millington, MD to support daily building operations and keep a safe, clean, and functional facility. You will perform basic preventive maintenance on facility equipment and assist with routine upkeep and minor repairs on shop equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of facility/industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Hands-on exposure to forklifts, welding, or CNC equipment advisable.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day building operations to keep the facility safe and functional.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
  • Assist with routine upkeep and minor repairs on shop equipment.
  • Troubleshoot simple mechanical issues and escalate complex repairs.
  • Conduct inspections for wear or safety risks and address them promptly.
  • Handle custodial and janitorial tasks as needed and support with safety compliance.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
