Pantzer is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Heather Ridge Apartments in Deptford, NJ. This 400-unit property features on-site management and a Monday–Friday schedule with an on-call rotation every 4 weeks.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to resident requests, apartment turnovers, and basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance repairs while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required.
• Minimum 2 years residential maintenance experience.
• Must live within 30 minutes of property when on-call.
• Read and communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance across all property areas.
• Coordinate with Property Manager and on-site team to deliver quality service.
• Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to safety codes and safety protocols.
• Complete apartment turnover efficiently.
• Perform plumbing, appliance, minor electrical, and HVAC work as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and partners.
• Keep regular on-call schedule to meet property needs.
• Participate in training seminars.

Maintenance Technician - Heather Ridge Apartments

Location: 448 Heather Dr N, Deptford, NJ

Salary Range: $26-$27/hr. with $2000 ONE-TIME SIGN ON BONUS

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm with on call rotation every 4 weeks

Primary Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician:

• Providing effective maintenance throughout all areas of the property
• Working closely with Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and on-site management team to deliver top quality service to residents
• Delivering professional, quality services to residents and responding to service requests in a timely manner
• Adhering to all applicable safety codes/standards and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols
• Effective completion of apartment turnover process for efficient resident move-ins
• Performing various community maintenance services relating to plumbing repair, appliance repair, minor electrical repairs, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs
• Operating various hand tools and power tools as necessary to complete required work
• Establishing effective relationships with vendors and partners
• Maintaining regular and on-call work schedules to meet property’s needs
• Participating in training seminars

What We’re Looking for in a Maintenance Technician Candidate:

• Must live within 30 minutes of the property if on call is required
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Great people skills and a desire to provide residents an exceptional residential experience through superior in-person service and quality maintenance services
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a residential property
• Must be HVAC certified
• Strong organizational skills and efficient work style
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to maintain a “can do” attitude to ensure the property’s success
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including on-call rotation, weekends and holidays
• Successful completion of required background and drug screening prior to start of employment
• Ability to lift and carry up to or over 50 pounds.
• 1 -10 pounds constantly
• 15-25 pounds will be 25% of the time
• 25-50 pounds will be 25% of the time
• Over 50 pounds will be 10% of the time
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into small spaces
