Job summary

gpac is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician for a highly automated dairy facility in Wisconsin. The role supports production, packaging, and utility systems across a 24/7 operation, focusing on safe, compliant, and reliable performance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and comfort with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment.
• Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems a plus.
• Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Safety-conscious mindset with ability to work independently on 6pm-6am shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant operation of production, packaging, and utility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quick repairs on 6pm-6am shift.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize reliability and throughput.
