Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Louisville, KY to support the Lead Engineer in maintaining a 12-story multi-tenant commercial property. You will complete work orders, replace LED lighting, change ceiling tiles, repair outlets and switches, assist with basic plumbing, and perform preventative maintenance across the building.

The role requires a self-starter who can work independently, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and report to Lead Engineer.
• Strong communication and customer service when interacting with tenants.
• Experience using a CMMS or similar work order system to manage tickets.
• Ability to safely work on ladders and perform physical maintenance in a multi-story facility.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders for a 12-story multi-tenant commercial property.
• Replace LED lighting and ceiling tiles; repair outlets and switches.
• Assist with basic plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct routine property walks and respond to tenant requests.
• Support diagnostics on building systems, including HVAC equipment like air handlers, escalating complex issues to the Lead Engineer.
• Track and close work orders in the CMMS; communicate progress to the Lead Engineer.

Job description

• 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or commercial property operations
• Working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems, including outlets, switches, flush valves, and minor repairs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while providing daily updates to a Lead Engineer
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with building tenants
• Experience using a computer to manage and close work orders in a CMMS or similar work order system
• Ability to safely work on ladders and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout a multi-story facility
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting a Lead Engineer in a commercial office building environment
• Experience with Work Engines CMMS or similar maintenance management software

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Louisville, KY. This individual will support the Lead Engineer in the day-to-day maintenance and operations of a 12-story multi-tenant commercial property. Responsibilities include completing work orders, changing ceiling tiles, replacing LED lighting, repairing outlets and switches, assisting with basic plumbing repairs, and performing preventative maintenance tasks throughout the building. The engineer will conduct routine property walks, respond to tenant requests, and ensure a professional experience for occupants at all times. This role will assist with diagnostics on building systems, including HVAC equipment such as air handlers, while escalating more complex troubleshooting to the Lead Engineer. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage tasks independently, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities throughout the day. Work orders will be tracked and closed through a CMMS/work order management system, requiring basic computer proficiency. This is a part-time first-shift opportunity with flexible scheduling and the potential for future full-time consideration based on business needs.
