Healthcare Glendale LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide reactive and proactive maintenance for operating equipment and facility systems at our Litchfield Park, AZ plant. The role requires mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, parts inventory, and collaboration with supervisors to schedule work and support product changes.

Qualifications

• Forklift maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience doing mechanical maintenance on industrial machines.
• Welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Basic shop math and the ability to read schematics/blueprints.
• Electrical experience/certification is a plus.
• High School Diploma/GED & Industrial maintenance schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on all machines and forklifts.
• Cleans machines and machine parts; removes and reinstall parts as needed.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts for optimal performance.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts; orders replacements.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer on new products and modifications.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.

We manufacture advanced memory foam mattresses that help you sleep cooler and more comfortably through the night so that you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever the day throws at you.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will have a solid understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts.

Day Shift: 6:30am-6pm Monday-Fridays

Duties/Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on all machines and forklifts.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines and forklifts to ensure effective performance.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines and forklifts.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines and forklifts.
• Repairs broken machines and forklifts quickly and efficiently.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
• Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Forklift maintenance experience preferred
• Must have previous experience doing mechanical maintenance on industrial machines
• Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Must have basic experience with shop math and basic ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and other drawings.
• Previous electrical experience/certification is a plus.
• High School Diploma/GED & Industrial maintenance schooling preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Very Heavy work: Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly on your own & up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently during a 10-hour shift.
• Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position on and off during a 10-hour shift with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
• Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work, and to visually inspect machinery being used.
• Temperature: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but, must be able to adapt to cold or hot temperatures.
