Job summary

Maine Staffing Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Leeds, Maine. The role runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, offering $20.00 per hour.

The position covers routine building maintenance and requires practical skills across plumbing, electrical, painting, and janitorial tasks. Responsibilities include scheduled and on-demand maintenance, completing repairs, preparing units for turnover, and participating in after-hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of building maintenance experience.
• Ability to acquire a basic universal license within the first year.
• Hands on knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, painting, and janitorial services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, preventative, and on-demand maintenance, responding to routine requests within 24 hours and to emergencies immediately
• Complete electrical and plumbing repairs on appliances, fixtures, outlets, faucets, toilets, drains, and more
• Prepare units for turnover (painting, cleaning, repairs) on schedule, and paint common areas as needed
• Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation (including weekends and holidays) and know all emergency shutoffs and evacuation procedures
• Maintain equipment to manufacturer specs, keep storage areas organized and secure, and help manage parts and materials inventory
