Encompass Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Facility & Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance at a new facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia. You will manage preventative and corrective maintenance for material handling systems and ensure a safe working environment.

Job at a Glance

We’re opening a brand new facility with 40,000 sq ft of office space and 380,000 sq ft of distribution center space. The facility is equipped with miles of brand new conveyor and a goods‑to‑person picking system. As the Facility & Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance and repairs at the office and the distribution center. You will be responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities over a wide range of material handling and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This role will require a mix of hands‑on maintenance work and coordination with vendors to service and maintain our equipment. You will lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians.

Typical Day

• You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on distribution center material handling systems and corrective maintenance on facility equipment.
• You will correctly identify and resolve problems with facility and material handling equipment.
• Support a safe work environment by addressing equipment‑related safety concerns.
• Determine when outside contractor support is needed and coordinate repairs and maintenance work with 3rd parties.
• Assist with forklift training and maintain OSHA‑required documentation.
• You will build effective relationships with 3rd‑party vendors and work closely with DC leadership team to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Supervise and lead maintenance and facilities team.

Qualifications

• 3 years of previous experience working with electrical, mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform up to 8 hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time.
• Mastered balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
